Product Description
Cardinal Carlo-Maria Martini, Archbishop of Milan, considers some of the psalms taken as humanity’s journey in search of God, with answers to some general human problems and anxieties, dealt with in a spiritual context.
The Cardinal adopts in part the form of literary analysis to good effect, referring to the original Hebrew text, giving fresh insights and personal ways of praying the psalms. The second part of the books consists of an extended meditation on passages from the Gospels, applied to difficulties with the Sacrament of Penance. The keynote is God’s love for the individual.
This is fine material for prayer or discussion groups or for individual study and personal meditation, an inspiring message of hope and confidence in times such as ours.
