There was an old man on the banks of the Jordan who went into a cave during the hot weather. Inside he found a lion who began to bare his teeth and roar.

The old man said to him, ‘Why get annoyed? There is enough room here for you and me, and if you do not like it, then go away.’

Not able to stand it, the lion went away.
