Sr Julian’s Temporary Profession

September 26, 2020 | Current News

Congratulations Sister Julian!

It was a great joy for us when Sr Julian (Tasha Grigor) made her temporary profession as a member of our community on Tuesday 15 September, the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows.

Before entering the Abbey in 2017, Sr Julian worked as a nurse in Victoria for many years, specialising in aged care and pediatrics. Her work in our community has been in our craft department and assisting in the infirmary.

Unfortunately, due to the closure of our state borders, Sr Julian’s family were not able to be present for her profession ceremony, however our Abbey staff were invited to join us for the special occasion. Following the Eucharist, the community celebrated with a festive morning tea.

Included in Sr Julian’s profession booklet was a quote from Saint Teresa of Kolkata: “I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world”. We ask that you keep Sr Julian in your prayer as she continues her monastic journey with us, seeking God through our life of prayer and worship.
