RIP Sister Janice Robertson osb
Our Sr Janice (Robertson) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on Easter Sunday. Since then it has been a difficult, painful but grace-filled time for us all. We have indeed “seen the Lord” dying, rising - eastering - in Janice over these past few months. His presence within her has certainly been a “dayspring to the dimness” that we have often experienced since hearing the news that she did not have long to live.
She died on the morning of Friday, 9th June. Now her paschal journey is complete and she has entered into the fullness of his eastering in her. The community kept an all night Vigil after her body was returned to us on Monday, 13th June. On Tuesday morning at 10.30, during our celebration of the Eucharist, we gave thanks to God for Janice’s life and commended her into his loving care. May she rest in peace.May he bring us all, together, to life everlasting.
